Choosing the best ski

Choosing the best ski

Skiing is one of the most popular sports in the world and many people participate in this form of sporting event. This is a recreational sport that necessitates the requirement of proper ski sporting gear. Without the proper ski gears, this game can not only be frustrating and discouraging, but also dangerous.
Choosing best ski

However, choosing proper gear also needs a careful study about various ski built for different level of game. For the beginners such ski equipments should be chosen that has easy maneuvering ability.

On the other hand, experts go for specialized ski built for complex skiing events. During the choosing procedure for any ski one should also take into consideration material used, type shape, length and stiffness of the ski equipments like boot models and boards.

Snowboards

In the earlier times skis were built of wood, but in the modern times, exotic materials like carbon, Kevlar and titanium are commonly used for building skis. In fact these materials are amalgamated in proper proportion for providing maximum strength and flexibility to the skis. A good ski should have a base of synthetic polyethylene that would provide less friction for smooth movement of the ski.

Choosing ski designs is also important and this depends on the type of skiing event you are participating in. for instance, a cross country requires to be thinner and longer in comparison to a downhill ski.

You need to take careful notice of all these aspects before buying a ski so that you can make your skiing experience much more enjoyable.

SALOMON X-WING 10

Salomon X-Wing 10

Brought to us by the same company that introduced the Fury, Tornado, and Hurricane series, the Salomon X-Wing 10’s main point is all about versatility. Setting its goal similar with its cousins, the X-Wing 10 delivers excellence through its flexibility and lightweight.

Light and fast, the X-Wing 10 is one of the most versatile skis in the market. Any skier can maneuver through different mountainous terrain like thick snow or rugged slopes. It may not be used as a tool for ultimate speed as other skiers can advise that speed is the tool. But, they’re probably wrong.

The X-Wing 10 may not be the fastest in the market but it sure gives intermediate skiers the chance to practice and improve more on their skill thanks to the X-Wing 10’s versatility and soon, competitors will find out the reason why they lost. Being lightweight, the X-Wing 10 does not need extra exertion of effort thus channeling more power on control and maneuver to perfection as the X-Wing 10 promises to deliver.

Buoyant, swift, lenient, and resourceful, the Salomon X-Wing 10 offer a lot than what it seemingly does. Having a reasonable price with great quality, the Salomon X-Wing 10 might become a tough competitor.

KASTLE MX 88 skis

Kastle MX 88

Having been in the market since the 90s, Kastle has brought out another inventive artillery from their ingenious minds and created the Kastle MX 88. With that type of reputation that has been going on for about a decade, the Kastle MX 88 did not fail to win back the trust needed in such a sport where danger lurks at every turn.

Power and stability comes at play with this 88mm waist ski. The MX 88 tries to win back lost fanatics of the ski and it indeed lives up to the promise. The ski has a moderate sidecut that enables skiers to glide off to any mountain setting or terrain with much ease than any other ski in the market.

But, having that amazing details out meant some downsides to it. The Kastle MX 88 is an expensive one. Skiers might find it hard to pick up for its price. Surely, once you’ve overcome that part, it is going to be a heck of a ride. In a market where affordability must be paired with ingenuity and quality, the Kastle MX 88 needs to pull up some strings together and make it more available for skiers both new and old.

But enough with the rant, overall the Kastle MX 88 delivers and it delivers well bringing the tides of war closer to Kastle’s side – victory.

Atomic Drive 11

Remember when skiing was thought off as a dangerous sport when you just glide through piles of snow using a pair of thin planks of wood and pointy sticks? It was then, but now, with the Atomic Drive 11. That issue has been put to rest…for good.
The Atomic Drive 11 brings out a new edge to the ski equipments in the market. Following the empty break left by another great series, the SX series, the Atomic Drive 11 glides through snow with grace as it did with certain few bumps on slopes. The 11 becomes even more popular with serious athletes out there as it gives precision in every twist and turn.

Speed is valuable when skiing becomes a sport and the Atomic Drive 11 does not lack on that side. NORDICA OLYMPIA VICTORY REVIEW

Nordica Olympia Victory Review

The Olympic Victory is the newest edition, in the family of Nordica ski equipments. This model is similar to its sister version, the Olympia Speed, but is wider than that version. The good thing about this ski board is it does have a wide frame, but it takes a bit more effort to ride – particularly on very icy snow.

For east-to-west skiers, this board is a very good choice. For eastern skiers, though, that want quicker turns and shorter rides that board will give you, the Speed will be better for you.

I would recommend this board to pro skiers, who will enjoy the easy cuts and turns through moderate snow, but not for novice skiers – as it will be harder to control the speed and turns of the skis. Women skiers will enjoy using these ski as well (they come in ladies’ sizes as well.)

The dimensions of the Olympia Victory skis are (size/radius): 146/12, 154/12.6, 162/14.2, 170/15.8, and 178/17.6. The sidecut is 116-74-104. According to the ski’s manufacturer, this are great skis to have, for the ultimate ski boarding experience.
