This article is a review on the Volki Tigershark 10 power foot switch skis and will include important information about them –including its usability and dimensions.


If you’re looking for a ski model that will raise the bar, Volki Tigershark 10 skis are just for you. These skis are for those who enjoying skiing fast on moderate to light snow. The foot switch is the newest in ski technology. All one has to do is turn the knob on the skis and you can adjust the type of ride you desire.


Note the more looser the knob is, the faster the ride and the tighter the knob, the smoother the ride. Personally, I done recommend riding with loose knobs to novice skiers, as they will have a hard time controlling the balance and the speed of the skis. However, for intermediate and expert skiers, this should be ok.


The great part about these skis is as the terrain changes, so can how you ski. The skis come in different sizes: the 10-foot and the 12-foot skis and the dimensions for each skis (sixe/radius) are: 161/12.9, 168/14.3, 175/15.8, and182/17.3.

STOCKLI SNAKE CORAL

The Stockli Snake Coral ski is best suited for freestyle down the mountain slopes. Just choose among the lengths of 166 cm, 177 cm, or 188 cm for a perfect ski with a smooth ride that is easy to handle.


It's specially good on park and powder trails with its twin tips. The radius for the 166 cm is 18.2 and for the 177 cm ski is 21.2. If you are comfortable with the 188 cm, the radius is 24.2. The sidecuts are at 122, 88, and 111 along the tip, waist, and tail respectively.


These measurements of the ski allow you to carve in almost any type of snow. The ski carving is smooth and snappy edge to edge. They respond well to maneuvers and you can have a blast on a groomed red or blue with fresh edges.


These skis are light and you can feel the pop off on the trails. They glide on the powder well and floated better. They are easy to push, more so when you are on the fronts to get them to perform. If you are a beginner or a mid level skier, you will find these skis can take you to the next level and enhance your skiing experience.

The Kastle MX 88 ski is for the freeriders down the mountain slopes. For unrivaled power, stability and control choose among the lengths of 158 cm, 168 cm, 178 cm, or 188 cm for a smooth and power packed ride that is easy to handle.


It is great on any type of mountain terrain in almost all conditions. The radius for the 158 cm is 15, for the 168 cm ski is 17.5 and for 178 it is 20. The lengthier model at 188 cm has a radius of 22.5. The sidecuts are at 128, 88, and 113 along the tip, waist, and tail respectively.

They are good for those with some level of skiing experience. You can take on the blacks with ease and speed as they turn hard and stay very stable. On the powder, they simply are amazing.


Whether the track is fresh or has already been used a number of times they are easy to handle and you actually enjoy maneuvering them. Though they are priced on the higher side, but if you can afford them, they will not disappoint you. You do not have to be aggressive with them as they are light and stay on top every time you try them on a crust.


So if you are one of those power skiers who likes to go zooming on the mountain trails and are looking for a pair of skis that should provide the stability and yet the desired power while you remain in control, then these skis offer the right combination.

ATOMIC GS12

Atomic GS12 Skis

Atomic GS12 is another ski in the giant slalom category. The ski is designed with competitions in mind and hence requires some level of expertise in its handling. It is a well balanced ski with great grip and pretty solid stability even at high speeds. Down the slope it gives a smooth and pleasurable gliding performance. Skiers will find it easy to handle the changes in turn radius.


With the category being giant slalom, the Atomic GS12 ski is 175 cm in length. The tip is 111 mm, waist is 66 mm and the tail is 94 mm wide. This ski is enhanced by Powerbridge technology to make it more responsive in most extreme conditions.


These racing skis offer great opportunity to medium level skiers to enhance their racing skills, while expert users will find it thrilling. It sure does pack a punch of both, pace and performance.


Though performance is average for short radius turns but medium to long radius turn performance is a pleasure. It is excellent to maneuver and control and great in initiation. The cutting grip is solid even at high speed.


From the stability point of view it is excellent with a great edge hold. Carving is another point where this ski scores top points. The Atomic GS12 is easy to handle and its excellent skid control makes sure that you stay on top at high speeds. It is comfortable to ride and the contact with snow is excellent. The performance in powder lacks a bit but then it is designed for racing and you can enjoy all the thrills down the slopes.


The Atomic GS12 is an excellent racing ski overall which makes it an ideal choice for competitions or just to enjoy high speed runs and turns.

ROSSIGNOL RADICAL

Rossignol Radical Mutix R11 Skis

The Mutix technology used by Rossignol to make the Radical Mutix R11 skis allows the skier to go in for short radius and long radius turns by simply changing the arms. This is one ideal pair of skis for both short and long turns. These skis are in the slalom category and are also available in giant slalom category.


The Radical skis are easy to handle and gives a pleasant experience while skiing. Though, it is not designed for competitions but the ski is versatile enough to deliver a power packed performance. Medium to expert skiers will find the Rossignol Radical Mutix R11 ski just good enough to give a pleasurable ski run on the snowy slopes of the ski resorts.


The ski is available in various sizes with 175 cm being used for the giant slalom category. The tip is 118 mm, the waist is 70 mm, and the tail is 102 mm wide. It is quite stable on different runs and the performance is great in powder.


The skis have good contact with the snow and their performance in long-radius turns is better than the short-radius turns. The initiation and carving is excellent with a good edge hold and grip. It is easy to maneuver with the skiers finding its skid control above average, which can vary from one skier to another depending on the level of expertise.


Overall, the Radicals are easy to use, versatile and comfortable giving a pleasurable skiing experience.

COPPER MOUNTAIN SKI RESORT

Copper Mountain Ski Resort Review

Copper Mountain Ski Resort is located at 209 Ten Mile Circle in Copper Mountain, which is 75 miles towards the west of Denver. It has 125 ski trails and 22 lifts. Like all other ski resorts that cater to user of every level, it is also divided in to three levels: beginner, intermediate and expert.

The beginner area is well marked and the kids can have all the fun there without fearing of going into difficult areas. Not only kids but also adults who are just starting out will find their lessons services on skiing good enough to get a foot hold into skiing.

The lifts are convenient to use and all the runs meet in the same areas. The terrain is good and you can get to relish some scenic views here. The staff is friendly and they have a great day care facility that you can use if you have small kids.

Lost Track in Copper Mountain

There is 2,450 acres of area marked for skiing and snowboarding. This gives ample space if you want to get away from the crowd on your own. It's complete getaway for the family offering shopping, dining, convenient lodging, and family activities in addition to its main attraction of skiing.


However, Cooper mountain resort does not have much difficult backs to offer, but at times like after big storms, you can get big bumps on the trails. They could really be difficult to ski on if they have not been groomed yet. There are no extreme terrains but some are steep. Copper is easy to access and you have to send more than a day or two to actually get to know the mountain.

ASPEN SNOWMASS

Aspen Snowmass Ski Resort

If you want to see a large crowd of skiers, this where the crowd is. The Aspen Snowmass has terrain that ever level of skier can use. It has three terrain parks each for one level of skier. There are 500, 250 and 150-foot long super pipes catering to expert, intermediate and beginner skier respectively.


The heavily treed terrain ranges from steep fast mogul runs, open deep powder, groomed trails, and gentle beginner areas. The trees are lined wide along the trails. Expert skiers can use the steep chutes, tighter tree trails and powder stashes at High Alpine. If you are fond of moguls, you can go to Sam’s Knob to Promenade, Fast Draw and Wildcat trails.


If you are an intermediate skier, you will find excellent groomed trails over the entire Snowmass Mountain. You can go to Elk Camp for some steep challenging trails with the Long Shot trail leading you down to Two Creeks. The Big Burn can also be used to enhance your skills as the trees are well spaced out and provide some great tree powder turns.


If you want your kids to start skiing, you can have them start at Fanny Hill. Later on they can head to Sam's Knob for a long trail down through Max Park and Scooper trails. You can even have them try out at Buttermilk trails.


Over all Aspen Snowmass promises an enjoyable skiing trip for the entire family. Moreover, once you get to know your way around, it will not take you much time find the trails that suit your style and level.
