ROSSIGNOL BANDIT B2W

Rossignol Bandit B2W Skis

The Bandit B2W skis from Rossignol, offer a smooth ride and durability that comes with the brand name. Rossignol is a 100-year-old company in the business of manufacturing skis and the Bandit B2W stands out.

It is the ski that women will find good carving ability, in addition to a promising smooth ride especially down the hill. Made with W Flex, it is designed for women have a fair amount of experience in skiing. The material makes the skis softer, more flexible, and lighter by about 15% than regular skis. This is just about ideal for women to enjoy skiing more.

If you have no idea what the snow is going to be like, you can count on your Bandit B2W skis to match your skills in giving you an easy ride in both deep power and on groomed trails. It comes with the W mounting position that improves turn initiation. This position is about one centimeter forward from the unisex models.

The skis are very responsive even under adverse conditions. What gives it an edge is the integration of aluminum in the tip of the ski. This not only gives more control at high speeds by increasing torsional rigidity but also adds stability while skiing in inconsistent snow. You will find them easy to maneuver on varied terrain on the mountain slope. Long and short turns are easy to make and they hold even on steep hard pack with fluff scraped off.

Specially designed for women having intermediate to advance skills in skiing, the Bandit B2W is for the women who want total versatility and control over their skiing. The Rossignol Bandit B2W skis are built so that you can enjoy skiing safely and yet take on new challenges on new trails.

Ski reviews: Macartney is recovering from big crash

Ski reviews: Macartney is recovering from big crash
Scott Macartney thought he was having a great run.The skier from Kirkland was moving fast over the ice and snow Jan. 19 on an Austrian mountain. It wasn't until almost the end that Macartney's World Cup downhill turned into a disaster.Macartney's takeoff on the final jump in Kitzbuehel was uneven. His left ski started to drift and his body followed, helplessly twisting before he slammed his head."You go right from 'I might be all right' to 'Oh, I'm screwed.' It's really that fast," said Macartney, who is recovering from a concussion.Other than a few scrapes on his face, Macartney contends he is physically fine. But his head is still a little cloudy — and until the fog has completely lifted, Macartney is grounded. The two-time Olympian said he hopes to return this season. This isn't a twisted knee, sore back or other injury common to alpine skiers. Those can often be fixed with surgery.
